What types of events can you do?
We are experienced in providing DJ & Emcee services for many event types. Some of the events we do on a regular basis include… Weddings... lots of weddings, sweet 16, family reunions, school functions, graduation parties, school dances, golf and other sporting tournaments, corporate events, grand openings, store sales events, community events, car dealerships, cruise ships, private yachts, and even multiple NFL Super Bowls. YES, we have done 4 Super Bowls so far! Have an event in another state? We are available to travel outside of Arizona. Do you have a destination wedding or a corporate event outside of Arizona, reach out to us to discuss having us travel for your event!

Who will you send to DJ our wedding?
Unlike many other DJ companies around, we do not have a sales person whose job it is to get you booked, and then find a DJ to cover your big day. When you hire Elite Event Services for your wedding, you will talk to Jay from start to finish and he will personally be there to provide services for your big day. We are not a volume DJ company, we focus on quality over quantity and we take time to get to know our couple, their needs, likes and dislikes so that we can provide a custom tailored experience.

Does it matter how many guests we have?
We can service any event size big or small, 20 people to over 20,000. If your event will have more than 150 people please let us know when requesting a quote as we may need to supply additional equipment we wouldn’t normally bring to a smaller event.

Will you host the event and interact with our guests?
We do more than just play music. We are always prepared to handle any announcements throughout your event. We will not only focus on the music, but we will also interact with you and your guests, we will take music requests and we will be available to make announcements. For weddings, you will have a professional master of ceremonies who is trained in hosting weddings and knows how to keep the wedding flowing properly.

Why do some DJ's cost more than others?
You may think that all DJs are the same. But that is farthest from the truth. Every DJ has their own personality and their own special set of skills and capabilities. Some, such as ourselves, we employ a wealth of technology to assist us in delivering a top quality package. We don't just press play, we are trained to beat match and mix music to keep an energetic vibe. Many DJs just fade in and out of songs, killing the dance floor vibe! Some DJ's just simply show up without much forethought on how to conduct the night. Most DJ's provide a cookie cutter experience. We on the otherhand spend many hours in advance planning our events, yet we have the skill set to make changes on the fly if we see something isnt working. The most important thing to ask yourself is “will this DJ make our night amazing" a DJ can make or break an event. As a DJ, you really only have one chance to do it right. Pick the best DJ for the job, not the cheapest DJ you can find. Experience and a high quality product comes at a slightly higher cost, but with the highest level of satisfaction at the end of the night. Experience, quality, value and the ability to adjust with the ebbs and flows throughout the evening are just some of the reasons why our clients continue to use us year after year. Can we discuss musical selections ahead of time, and are you willing to play requests?
It is important for your DJ to know your musical preferences, and entertainment needs you have for your event. We will listen to your ideas and suggestions. We are always available prior to your event via phone, zoom and email to discuss selections. In office and on-site meetings are available for weddings and larger events. Special requests are rarely a problem. If you have music genres you want or do not want played, please be sure to let us know. We are proficient in most genres of music. If there are specific song titles you would like, be sure to let us know. We will also play requests from guests during your event if our client allows. We are skilled at reading crowds and playing music that works for each event. For weddings we have a complete worksheet regarding custom music for your special day.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking your event as far in advance as possible, especially for Friday, Saturday and Holiday events as those are always the first to book up. We take bookings up to 18 months in advance and we will do our best to fill last minute bookings if at all possible.

Will you arrive on time?
Punctuality is a necessity, and as professionals we are very aware of our responsibilities to our clients. We always arrive well in advance of our scheduled start time so that we have plenty of time to set up without being rushed. Standard set up and removal of our equipment is done at no charge and is not a part of your alloted entertainment time.

Is there a contract & deposit required?
We do have a contract required at time of booking. The contract is to cover both the service provider and the client. We require a 50% deposit at time of booking in the form of cash, Zelle, Venmo or business check. We do offer payment plans for balance due on wedding contracts.

What do you bring to DJ our event?
We invest in quality professional DJ equipment so you can count on us to not only bring out good looking gear but also the best sounding speakers and the coolest lighting around. We have multiple QSC brand loud speakers, 18” subwoofers, professional mixers, controllers, turntables, a DJ booth with LED up lighting that can be made to display any color, and truss systems with an array of lighting options including large LED moving light heads. Our intelligent dance light can all be computer controlled from our DJ booth. Additionally we do offer photo slide show, movie presentations, monogram lighting, business logos, animated logos, cold sparks, ground foggers and LED accent up lighting. We invest into our business so that we can provide our client with the highest quality. We show up to every event with backup equipment should any issues arise. The average DJ has poor quality equipment and lacks a backup plan should they encounter equipment issues at your event. Be sure to hire a DJ who will invest into your event and bring out only the best mobile DJ gear.

What are your rates to DJ our event?
Our rates will depend on the type of event, the location, day of week, length and other factors. Top quality wedding DJ's here in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area command $1500-$3000 or more. You will likely find DJs offering $700 wedding packages and you will likely find DJ's selling $5000+ wedding packages. Don't let the price be the deciding factor for your once in a lifetime day. Do your research, speak with the DJ, find out how much experience they have, and see if that DJ seems like the right fit for you. There are a lot of differences between a cheap wedding DJ and an experienced wedding DJ. A couple of examples...A professional spends many hours planning for your wedding...we spend on average of 10 hours pre planning a wedding, long before we even arrive on site. The average DJ will not spend much, if any time pre planning. For weddings, we provide an experienced master of ceremonies who will control the flow of the evening and interact with you and your guests. We provide our proprietary wedding work packet so you can fully customize your DJ/MC experience. A cheap DJ may have $1500 in equipment while a professional will have anywhere from $20,000-$100,000 at an event...an added bonus with us is that we always have back up equipment on-site should the need arise. We are licensed and fully insured! A cheap DJ will not carry liability insurance, if they damage your home, the venue you rented, etc...it will be on your hands. Most importantly, a cheap DJ usually does this as a hobby...will they still be in business when your wedding date arrives? We get countless calls from Brides who's $800 wedding DJ has disappeared. Do you require us to have a coordinator?
For wedding bookings, we do require you to hire a professional day of wedding coordinator or planner who will remain on-site from at least 1 hour prior to wedding start and up until the conclusion of our contracted end time. Weddings are a once in a lifetime event and we want to ensure your day is perfect. We as your wedding DJ/MC want to focus on our job of entertaining you and your guests, and creating a fun atmosphere. When we have done weddings where there has not been a professional coordinator on-site, we end up being tasked with a lot of things that are outside of our normal scope of duties which takes away from us being able to focus 100% on our job of being your DJ/MC. Our job is already a stressful one without having to worry about your catering team, chasing guests down prior to toasts and having to direct other vendors were to set up. We would love for you to book with our preferred Day of Wedding coordinator "Celebrations by Heather" but we enjoy working with all professional coordinators. DJ Elite and Celebrations by Heather have provided services together for over 100 weddings so with all of that experience as a team, we can work seemlessly together to ensure a perfect wedding day.
